The most beautiful night to end our trip.
—Papa Brooks’ welcome home. The trip is officially over, and we’re already planning the next one.
—For Brian, our second supporter who we met during the trip. Thanks for the pancakes, the mountain climb, and for constantly motivating us to return to Big Sur.
—For Max Parks, the golden snitch we met in an Austin UPS store.
—We know, we know. It’s been too long.
We made it back home to Florida. And we had every intention of quickly finishing up our final blog posts, but all of a sudden we had responsibilities and normal life to attend to. After a few weeks (ok… maybe a month) of trying really hard to assimilate back into our stationary lives, we finally accepted the fact that the trip was over. It was hard to admit.
And so finally, here are a few photos of our last stop in Lexington, SC. Kristyn and her family were the perfect final hosts: they knew we were exhausted from crashing a wedding and gave us a low-key night and comfortable place to sleep. The next morning, we dropped off our final bunch of postcards and headed south.
To our unknown, awesome sponsor Jenn.
—For Lisa Rose, the only sponsor to star in her own dance party.
—For Sharon.
—And this is how it’s done in Nashville.
